The Sun Will Shine Again

March 16, 2024

On the Street Ministry
Saturday morning, March 16, 2024
Temperature: 40 degrees / sunny

Today we had the privilege of serving 22 people.

“The sun will shine again.”

  • We came upon our regular friends with our packets and some clothes. The weather is warming, and
more souls are on the street. With the weather change more people are just trying to get through the day
with whatever addiction they have. There is a Rumor of the Main Spring House Shelter in Downtown
Brockton is moving by end of the year to a building on the VA Campus which concerns a some of the
Homeless we talked to. Our Regulars are Glad we are still seeing them every Saturday. They are always
grateful for the packets of $10 bill/$10 DK card/prayer card. A Gentleman asked Us a couple of weeks
ago after we showed him our packet “what did he have to do to get it”?, I replied “nothing”, just being
here is Really all God Needed. I have been told we should see the Reflection of God in everyone We
    Meet.

“Make us generous in the service to others.”

  • The weathered face of L with Her cuts and scrapes tells the story of life on the street. Some of their
clothes get stolen or thrown away during a sweep of the area they call home. We ran across one of our
regular friend, C, and asked about J. He told us he was at Good Samaritan Hospital with pneumonia for
the fourth time which is not good. We had not seen him in a few weeks. We will pray for him. Across
the street we ran into T. He was maneuvering his wheelchair up the street to work his corner at the
traffic light. He is always happy to see us and always leaves us with a “God Bless you”. We gave out
some of Jim’s mass cards to people who hadn’t heard about his passing. He and Terry touched so many
    lives.
