The spring air makes all things feel new.

Today we had the privilege of serving 11 people (short run)

• We met up with some of our regular friends today. We asked about A, who was not with Angie, He went back into treatment to try to get a grip on his life again. For some it is an ongoing cycle of in and out of treatment trying to arrest their demons. The sad part is death becomes the final chapter in the merry go round of addiction.
• There was talk on the street about the death of a friend run over by a car and beaten with a brick. Nobody seems to know the reason why, but I think when you witness violence and sometimes death often enough, you become numb to it. Being on the street deadens your emotions and your soul. I have heard people say they would welcome death at times to get out of this way of life that addiction causes.
• The Word on the Street Travels fast when they see us around, they are always Thankful for the $10 bill, $10 DK card,Prayer Card, along with Socks, Underwear, and Clothes that are Donated by Special Friends that Support On The Street Ministry. Jim would always correct me when I would call it His Ministry, He say would it,s “God,s Ministry not Ours.”
